Animals - Peacock
Peacock; is an original Acrylic painting produced for open studios 2018.
The painting inspiration was taken from the Peacocks that reside at Calbourne Mill here on the Isle of Wight. I took a group of my students there on a field sketching trip.
I paint animals when my mind is in the fog of depression; they are the only thing I can paint at these difficult times. I believe this is because I was brought up around animals both domestic, farm and in nature.
I always leave the animals eyes to last, for it is the eyes that give the animal their charactor and brings them to life.
