Brian Gale

Brian works mainly in acrylics but enjoys mixing them with pastels and watercolours creating mixed media with interesting textures.

He likes to tell a story from a day out or a holiday, the aim is to capture imagery and. Harmony from every day life.

Brian was born in Croydon and although always involved with art in some way only started painting when he retired in 2008 . He moved to the Isle of Wight in 2016 where he is a member of the West Wight Painting Group the 5 Bells art group and the Freshwater Memorial hall Friday group.

He has been involved with various exhibitions at Quarr Abbey and Yarmouth and had his first solo exhibition at Brook in 2022.

Landscapes Still life and Portraits are the main subjects but he particularly enjoys the challenge of commissions Also recently just for a change is painting murals on large garden pots.
