Description

I transform driftwood, rope and seaglass from our Island beaches into a variety of forms, to include collages, mirrors, tea light and candle holders, mobiles, key rings, gift tags, greetings cards, Christmas trees and a selection of useful and decorative signs.

About

I discovered the therapeutic value of creative art following a life changing accident. During my recovery I found the simple pleasure of gentle exercise to have significant benefit to my feeling of wellbeing. Daily walks along our glorious beaches drew my eye to the rustic colour, shapes and textures of driftwood and from this my story began.

By nature I am inclined to work in a neat and methodical way and this is reflected in my creativity, making it slightly different. Over time my work has matured and evolved and recently I have introduced pyrography to enhance some of my designs .

I have no formal qualifications in art but have always enjoyed making and creating, especially upcycling other peoples junk! My background is thirty years as a clinical nurse which might explain my precise and tidy approach.

I love what I do and will continue to reach out for new ideas, maintaining the "beach art" theme.
