Black and white paintings, prints and drawings.

Working across a range of media to explore light and darkness, place and time and the meditative and restorative potential of time spent being in nature.

Black and white landscape commissions welcome.  Please get in touch to discuss your ideas.  Portraiture and life drawing commissions also considered.

I currently teach Life Drawing and Introduction to drawing and painting courses for adults, and Family Learning Art classes for parents together with their children.  For Autumn 2017, I will be setting up some new classes in my studio in Carisbrooke.  Please get in touch if you would like to be added to the mailing list for these, or for more information about commissioning an educational or community arts project.

I graduated from Chelsea College, University of the Arts, with BA Hons Fine Art Painting in 2003 and completed MA Fine Art at City & Guilds of London Arts School in 2007.

Alongside my Fine Art studies I trained at the Institute of Education and the London Arts Consortium, gaining Qualified Teacher Status in 2004 and passing the teaching threshold standards in 2008.  I have 15 years experience in art education, with work ranging from curriculum design, leading schools projects and mentoring PGCE Art & Design trainees, to running an arts festival and managing community arts events in public spaces.

In 2009-10 I was Artist in residence at University for the Creative Arts.  In 2013 I was a Visiting Tutor for MA Artist Teachers and Contemporary Practices and Artist Educator Researcher in residence at the Centre for Arts and Learning at Goldsmiths, University of London.
