Natural History Illustrator/artist
I mainly work in water colours and pen and ink.  I sell a range of greetings cards and I take on a variety of commissions.

Needle felting maker -3D               I use some of my own sheeps fleeces to make my own range of characterful woodland creatures.

I have worked as a freelance Natural History illustrator/artist for over 20 years.
Originally from the New Forest, I moved  to Northumberland in my mid thirties and lived there for fourteen years.  Missing the warm south and family I moved to the beautiful West Wight in 2015.
I began my art career working as an on sight artist at Marwell Zoological Park before going on to study Natural History Illustration at Bournemouth and Poole college of art and design.  I completed  a further two years studying Scientific illustration and graphic design in Southampton from which began my freelance career.
I have worked on a variety of published and private commissions, with the addition of creating my own range of greetings cards which have sold at craft fairs and local shops.

In 2017 I opened Dormouse Gallery studio/shop in Totland which I ran for two years.  Here I enjoyed selling my range of greetings cards, prints and original artworks as well taking on commissions.  I also hosted some local artists and makers  who all shared the same subject matter in Natural History. Also I  ran some small art tuition courses.

I now work from my own private premises where I have the opportunity to engage and obtain inspiration from my animals and the wildlife around.  With three sheep of my own I have recently taken up needle felting using wool from their fleeces.  I have successfully established a range of characterful woodland creatures which have proved very popular at local craft fairs during 2021.
I continually add new designs to my greetings cards collection,  take on commissions and needle felt little woodland creatures.
