Wild Flower Meadow at the Garlic Farm IW

Mainly watercolour and oil, but also acrylics, pen and wash, ink, charcoal, pastels and anything that makes a mark! Most paintings are reproduced in professionally printed cards and prints.

Born and bred on the Island, my husband and I returned in 2005, where I could indulge my love of painting our wonderful Island landscapes and flower meadows.

I am a member of the Isle of Wight Art Club, where I sit on the Council and the Exhibition sub committee. I also attend Cowes Art Group, where I have been awarded "Favourite Picture" voted by the public at our Cowes Week Summer Exhibition on several occasions.

This year, as well as Open Sudios on the second weekend at Gurnard Village Hall, I will also be  exhibiting around the Cowes area with CAG and Quarr Abbey with IWAC, I will be at Brading Roman Villa in May, West Wight Painting Circle at Yarmouth at Easter, May and September and "Landscapes of the Isle of Wight" competition at Ventnor Botanic Gardens in October, where I have been twice awarded Highly Commended.

My work is mainly in Watercolour and Oil, with some Acrylics, but I do like experimenting with other media to keep my ideas fresh. I like to capture the atmosphere of all the seasons and the light on our amazing Island. My paintings make excellent cards and prints which are professionally produced, and my paintings are in collections on the mainland, France, Chicago, California and Washington State.
