A series of Island inspired colourful and vibrant landscapes. Acrylic on canvas.

"Getting a dog has opened my eyes to the countryside!"..... I was born in Kent in 1965, growing up there, and latterly in South London. I did a foundation course in Fashion and Textiles, and then trained in decorative paint effects. Art was really only a hobby then, as I spent most of my time painting the interiors of peoples houses! The paintings I did do however, came from my imagination, and has up till now been mainly geometrical forms, with a strong use of colour and shape.

In 2011 I moved to the Island, and we adopted our lovely dog Norbi. Walking him daily I have discovered landscapes, enjoying the flowing lines and shapes of the land, and being constantly amazed at just how many shades of green there are, when you really look! My time is now spent painting, and practicing as Bowen Therapist.

My work is inspired by colour shape and form, and love artists such as Hockney, Klee, and Picasso, aswell as textile designers such as Kaffe Fassett and Missoni.

My limited edition prints and cards can be purchased from the Yarmouth Gallery, Burfields in Ventnor, and cards only at Dimbola museum& galleries in Freshwater Bay
