I work full time as an artist on the island painting pen and watercolour pictures. In the summer months I take part in events such as open studios and sketch new works on location. I love to take inspiration from the environment around me and enjoy capturing all the obscure little details as well as being in the action getting real feelings into my work. In the winter months as well as painting comissions I complete the best of the summers prelininary works using photos taken whilst sketching and a little bit of artists licence. Having studdied Illustration at Falmouth I always like to put a bit of story into my scenes.

People are my favourite subject to draw and it gives me lots of pleasure to capture them. Some of the figures in my work are real and are sometimes recognised in my paintings.

I have been painting the island for 17 years and have a huge portfolio of island scenes which I sell as prints, puzzles and cards as well as originals. About 80% of the work I do is for private comissions painting houses, boats, events or favourite places with family members in.
