Pet portraits and accessories. Fine and applied arts. Commissions welcome.

As a child I was always drawing and listening to music, taking an Art O Level and playing the French Horn.  However, thinking I was not good enough to become a professional artist or musician, I became a lawyer specialising in the media and entertainment industries.  Unfortunately, health issues meant I had to stop work.  I began drawing again and started card-making as part of my recovery.  In 2013, I achieved a long-held dream of completing an art foundation course at City Lit in London.  I went on to study basket-making there also.  Having also studied print-making, ceramics, polymer clay, and jewellery-making I began to realise that perhaps I might now be able to make a living from my creative efforts!

I moved to the Isle of Wight in August 2014 for family reasons although I still retain my base in London.  In July 2015, I went to an Open Studios exhibition in Gurnard, after which I joined Cowes Art Group. I also study under Neil Tregear at Tregear Pottery in Niton.

I am an animal owner (3 cats and a dog) and lover and have created pet portraits in a variety of media.  I love creating representations of animals and can make a variety of pet accessories including personalised bowls, sleeping baskets etc.

I am launching my business, Waddington Creative, at Open Studios this year.  I will have ceramics for sale and will be exhibiting some of my commissions and animal portraits.
