Competition Embroidery Work
Here are the more complex embroideries that I have made for Embroidery Competitions.
'Glimpses of India' was highly commended in 2014 and went on a national tour. It is a multi-layered piece made from lots of individual embroideries composed to look like an Indian Spice market.
'Glimpses of scotland' is the piece that I was the overall winner with. Again, it is a multi-layered piece and is currently on tour, I hope to have the piece returned to me in April 2016.
With both pieces I have tried to recreate realism by blending colours and adding perspective. Both pieces are large and took over 100 hours to make.
