BEACH ART

It is a rare to come across a "special  piece" of driftwood, as I call them and very common to  find wood from pallets and plywood from boats.

I manage to use all of the above in my art work as you will see in the gallery.

Pallet wood makes lovely bases, much like a canvas and when sanding the grain really comes through.

Plywood is often found with many layers of paint and this in itself tells a story of voyages across the seas.

It could almost be termed as "beach upcycling", making use of the rope from fishing vessels, floats from the nets and even the champagne corks that make their way to our coasts.

The images in the gallery hopefully show my story of "beach upcycling"!
