Astraction new works 2021 - 2022
Ive been developing an abstract approach for the past year which is very new to me.
This is the third in my first series of images, the forms and shapes come after a free and somewhat liberating initial sketching session, where i begin to pick out forms and colours that resonate with that moment or visualisation im working with.
Sometimes an image/form seems to unfold immediately other times i skratch around and do pages and pages even whole sketch books before i come up with something that wants to develpe further.
It can feel difficult or sometimes almost too easy. This paintings title popped in my mind while in progress and seems to express a feminine quality of a softness with strength.
